Totowa is roughly twelve minutes south of our Stockton Road shop, and the van reaches it easily. Windshields take about an hour plus cure, chip repairs half an hour, and side or rear glass is usually finished the same day, at the house or in an office parking lot.

Totowa is a small borough with an outsized amount of workplace parking, thanks to the office and light industrial buildings on its southern side. That gives us two very different kinds of customer here. One is the resident with a driveway who wants the car done while they work from home. The other is somebody whose vehicle sits in a company lot all day and who would rather not spend a lunch hour driving to a shop. Both are straightforward mobile jobs, and both cost the same as coming to us.
Fleet work fits the same pattern. If a business here has more than one vehicle with damaged glass, we would rather schedule them back to back in the lot than have them trickle in one at a time. Each install still gets the full treatment: matched glass, a clean primed bond line, new moldings, the correct safe drive-away time observed before anyone moves the vehicle, and the lifetime workmanship warranty on our end of it. Volume does not change the method.
Union Boulevard runs through the middle of Totowa and does most of the work of connecting the borough together, with the residential streets climbing away from it on both sides. Route 46 crosses the southern end, and the office and warehouse buildings along the roads near the river give the borough a daytime population much larger than its residential one. Minnisink Road and Totowa Road handle the rest of the local movement. Housing is a mix of postwar single-family homes and newer townhouse developments, most with real off-street parking, and the borough is small enough that a van dispatched from North Haledon can cover any address in it without much planning.
“Auto Glass without a doubt has to be the best company for replacing car windshields ! First you have Jen who runs the office and is kind, courteous and truly a professional! She will go out of her way to make sure that you're satisfied…”
Route 46 is the main culprit for Totowa windshields. It is a heavily trafficked surface highway with frequent commercial vehicles, constant merging at the jughandles, and a shoulder that stays gritty for most of the year. Stone thrown there arrives with force. The industrial and office corridor adds construction and delivery traffic, which tracks gravel onto the approach roads. From the residential side, most of what we replace is damage picked up elsewhere and left to grow, plus the usual winter pattern of a chip that survived until the first morning somebody scraped ice off the glass and ran the defroster on full at the same time.
Totowa to our shop is a short run north, up through the western side of Paterson and into North Haledon, roughly twelve to fifteen minutes depending on lights. It is one of the easier drives in our area on damaged glass, since there is no highway merge required. The shop takes cars from 7:30 on weekdays and 8:00 on Saturday mornings. For office park vehicles, though, mobile is almost always the better answer, because a car that sits in the same space from nine to five is a car that can be worked on and cured without anyone waiting for it.

Yes, and it is worth telling us up front so the day is planned around it. Give us the vehicles, the years and models, and where they will be parked. Doing three vans in sequence in the same lot is far more efficient than three separate trips, and it means your fleet is not down one vehicle at a time across a whole week.
Usually a quick word with whoever manages the property is enough, and some buildings ask for notice before a service vehicle comes in. Check before booking so the tech is not turned away at the entrance. Once inside, all we need is the car, a space beside it to work, and the vehicle left standing until the adhesive has reached its safe drive-away point.
About an hour after the glass is set, longer if the weather is cold or damp. That wait is not padding. It is the time the urethane needs to develop enough strength to hold the windshield in place in a collision and to keep the passenger airbag working against it. We will tell you the exact clearing time when we finish rather than guessing at it.
Tell us the vehicle and the glass that's damaged — you'll see your price instantly, and we'll hold it for you.
